We take great care in screening prospective new puppy owners as we only want our puppies to grow up in loving and caring homes.
| Who are we? |
We (that is Kobus & Sannie Reiners) have been living in Meyerton for the last 15 years. Meyerton is a small town in the Vaal Triagle, ±50km from Johannesburg Central.
The birth of our passion, to breed with Golden Retrievers, started 6 years ago when we got our first Golden Retriever puppy. She was the most beautiful and gorgeous fluffy little princess and we named her Kosan. We were head over heels for her from the first moment we saw her.
As the years moved on, the family has grown to 8 stunning, gentle, loving, sensitive and willing to please dogs or rather friends!
They are just amazing, the most wonderful dogs you can ever imagine and we just love and enjoy each one of them with their own individual fantastic temperament.
All the breeding males and females here at Kosan’s are Kusa Registered (The Kennel Union of Southern Africa) and X-rayed for hip and elbow displacements as well as eye tested (HD and ED tests).
What you should know before buying a “Goldie”:

With their loyal, gently, biddable and trainable temperament, they are considered excellent family dogs.
They are quite happy to live in a townhouse as long as there is an adequate exercise program at hand and in place – they are lively, active dogs and just LOVE water!
Golden’s are eager to learn and very easy to train. They are highly intelligent and always in need of something to occupy the mind.
They are exceptionally child-friendly. Its great tolerance and poised nature allows it to put up with “children stuff”. They are even sometimes used by occupational therapist to help treat children with problems.
Golden’s are standard large breed dogs with an average weight ranging between 27 – 36 kg, height 51 – 61 cm, and color any shade of “golden or cream”.
